With Action On Disability celebrating its 40th year we thought maybe its time for a new look. After all, we are not getting any younger. But the purchasing of a new sports car seemed a bit cliché and a tad irresponsible. So, we decided to go with a new website, we hope you like it.
Deciding on how best to present ourselves inspired a great deal of discussion. We wanted to make it absolutely clear what are goals are and what we do.
You can now access our employment service, youth service, advocacy and benefits service and our employer support right from the home page. We felt that putting our services at the heart of the site reflected our commitment to better accessibility across West London. With this in mind, we also have translations and voice available on the site.
As well as making our services more accessible, we really wanted to create a space that allowed us to engage with our users. “Get Involved” gives you a lot more information about how you can be part of something that has the potential to really make a difference.
Lastly, we would like to draw your attention to our 40th Celebration Capital Appeal. We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move to a purpose built, fully accessible premises thanks to Hammersmith and Fulham Council and Shepherds Bush Housing Group. Greater accessibility in a more modern facility is essential if we are to continue to grow as an organisation.
So make full use of the site and join us as we celebrate 40 years and prepare for 40 more.
